About the Role

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, and Havant.

Salary: £41,583 - £48,296 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Property & Facilities Management (P&FM) Data & Document Management Controller is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining document management systems and processes within the property and facilities management group. This role involves developing and managing metadata structures, ensuring data integrity, and providing technical support to users.

- Document Management System Development: Design, develop, and implement document management systems that align with the department's needs and industry best practices.

- Be responsible for Data Management and Governance, acting as the subject matter expert for Property and FM. Providing technical support to users regarding document management systems and processes.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the document and data management workflows. Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes and reduce manual tasks.

- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyse data from various sources (e.g., property management systems, facility management software, devices, CAFM/IWMS). Utilise data analysis techniques (e.g., statistical analysis, data mining) to identify risks, trends, patterns, and correlations.

- Develop and maintain data dashboards and reports to visualise key performance indicators.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

- Strong understanding of document management principles and best practices.

- Experience with document management software (e.g., SharePoint, Documentum, OpenText).

- Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Viso, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Automate & Power apps) as well as extensive experience in data modelling, metadata development, and data governance.

- Strong understanding of GDPR legislation and cyber security legislation.
