Sales Manager

The Premier Inn is loved by millions of guests in the UK and beyond. We’re looking for someone who can excite other business customers to create an Account and form a business partnership with us. There’s a lot that goes into that famous purple room and, you’ll be showcasing the benefits of becoming a Premier Inn partner.

Working with other internal teams: Business Support, Sales Operations, Commercial Operations and the Commercial Leads you’ll be offering a great proposition that will make potential customers wonder why they would need to consider staying anywhere else.

Your relationship management, will-to-succeed, desire and passion will enable you to become a success in this role. 80% of the role will include new business, through leads, many of which are ‘warm’ already. We also like to think that signing up to the No.1 budget hotel brand isn’t that much of a hard sell! You’ll have a clear run, in terms of the business you bring on board and the value of that business to Premier Inn.

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 + up to 30% bonus

Location: Dunstable

What you’ll do

  • Proactive identification of new business opportunities linked to the B2B sales strategy and customer segmentation.

  • Presentation, negotiation and agreement for all existing and new business proposals, re-negotiations or additional projects within existing customer portfolio.

  • Build genuine rapport and trust to win support at all levels of the customer’s business.

  • Strategic account management and customer targeting ensuring customer satisfaction, increased production YOY and high account renewal rate.

What we need

  • Ideally well-rounded knowledge hotel industry and travel management buying behaviours. (or wider hospitality)
  • Understanding of different routes to market/distribution systems so can engage customer with informed discussion/guidance.
  • Focused on customers, finding ways to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Builds productive relationships with colleagues, both internally and externally. Able to identify and manage the best resources to effectively deliver project plans.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of revenue management.
