We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Access & Approvals Advisor to join us in our Access and Approvals team in Melbourne on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Manager Access and Approvals South East, the Senior Land Access & Approvals Advisor is responsible for securing all necessary land tenure arrangements and statutory approvals for a suite of infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a team to plan projects, identify and gain all approvals required and advising on schedule, budget, key risks and mitigation during development and delivery
  • With the team, identify and liaise with relevant stakeholders to obtain access to land for APA projects
  • Build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage issues, concerns, and disputes effectively, build trust and respect, and anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs
  • Appoint and manage external consultants through the preparation of scope and deliverables for packages of work where required and manage their performance
  • Ensure that all land access negotiations are undertaken in a professional manner

Your background

  • Experience in the delivery of land access, management and/or approvals in the Energy or similar industry
  • Ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively across the organisation and externally; by building and developing relationships based on trust, integrity, and credibility
  • Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with strong attention to detail
  • Well-developed verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work in an organised, safe and efficient manner, while working in accordance with policies and procedures applicable to functional responsibilities
