A bit about your role

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior portfolio Manager, reporting to the Executive Manager, Field Portfolio Governance & Delivery.

The Field Improve and Transform team is responsible for developing and implementing the nbn Field Strategy in line with the nbn Operations and Corporate Plan.

They handle portfolio, program, project planning and governance to achieve field service, productivity, supply, and quality goals.

The Senior Portfolio Manager works with senior stakeholders to prioritize and manage the strategic roadmap for Field Services, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with the nbn Field Strategy.

This role involves managing the strategic portfolio scope, partnering with project managers, governing programs, managing risks, and collaborating with key business stakeholders to provide strategic advice and input into executive documents.

The role also includes ensuring the delivery of field service solutions with positive ROI and maintaining clear documentation and resource allocation.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate will ideally have certifications such as PRINCE 2, PMP, or PgMP.

Experience in projects and programs with increasing leadership responsibilities is required.

Key skills include business problem-solving, strong analytical abilities, and experience in the telecommunications industry.

The candidate should also be adept at managing portfolios, leading large-scale transformation programs, and creating business cases.

Please note that given this role will be governing a large-scale IT development over an extended period of time, the chosen candidate will need to have proven process & system experience.

Finally, excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to influence senior management and stakeholders. Being self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining a continual improvement mindset will be needed.
