From school pick-ups to global meetings, from caring for ageing parents to pursuing personal dreams, life doesn’t pause. At EY Australia, it doesn’t have to. With flexible programs designed to support every stage of life, EY Australia is redefining what it means to really thrive at work.

Take time when life calls

EY Australia’s innovative leave programs reflect a deep respect for life’s changing priorities. Employees can access career breaks to step away and return when ready, or take advantage of life leave, with up to 12 weeks available each year for rest, caregiving or to focus on personal goals. Additional leave is available for members of the Australian Defence Force Reserves, honouring their service and time.

Adjust your schedule, shape your future

Short-term part-time options let employees temporarily shift to part-time hours for one to three months per year. This flexibility supports transitions, caregiving or personal wellbeing. Term-time working enables parents and grandparents to work full-time during school terms and take the holidays off, creating more time with family.

Celebrate families of every kind

The EY Family Leave policy is inclusive and market-leading. All employees can access 26 weeks of paid parental leave, regardless of gender or caring role. Leave is also available for early pregnancy loss, fertility treatment, and for grandparents. Families formed through Whāngai, Kinship or Home for Life responsibilities are equally supported. New hires and existing employees returning from parental leave are also invited to join.

The EY Rediscover program is a 16-week initiative designed to ease the transition back to work through employee-led sessions, peer support, and mentoring.

Work from anywhere, stay connected everywhere

The EY international remote working policy allows employees to work overseas for up to three months. Whether reconnecting with loved ones or extending travel, work can move with you. Career agility is also encouraged through global mobility opportunities across the EY network.

Bring your whole self, on your terms

Employees can substitute two public holidays with days that hold personal significance. An additional six weeks of flex leave is available for study, family or other pursuits. EY Australia also offers gender affirmation leave and compassionate leave for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to support kinship and cultural responsibilities.

Smart Tech that supports you

Technology at EY is designed to give time back. AI-powered tools like EYQ, 365 Copilot and Power Platform help employees work more efficiently. Whether exploring new skills, reviewing documents or collaborating virtually, these tools help enable smarter, more flexible working.

Stronger together, every step of the way

Employee-led Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Networks offer community and support across many identities and experiences. Whether navigating menopause, parenting, neurodiversity or cultural identity, there is a network ready to listen, uplift and lead positive change.

Supporting your wellbeing, success and security

EY Australia offers detailed support that includes 24/7 mental health care, financial planning and legal advice. Leadership development programs, such as EY Ignite Boardroom Training Program, help empower individuals to step into strategic roles. Parents Connect Networks bring families together to share challenges and alternatives.

From flexible leave to inclusive communities, from smart tools to global opportunities, the EY organisation is showing what it truly means to thrive at work and in life.
