The Market Operations Transformation team is dedicated to delivering large scale change initiatives that span across business units to address Business, Industry and Client requirements across the CIB organization. One example of this is the Credit Athena implementation.

Athena is a strategic platform for processing and risk managing securities and derivatives in the Investment Bank. It is responsible for product modelling, trade capture, risk, event and position management, providing the books and records to the bank for trades and feeding downstream back-office systems such as accounting, settlements, legal documentation and regulatory reporting. The products managed on this platform range from high volume listed and flow derivative products to extremely complex over-the-counter structured and securitized derivatives.

As a product manager for the Athena platform, you will work in a cross-functional role with the engineering, trading, operations and other functions to lead the product strategy execution and delivery of Athena - the firm's next-generation trading platform. As ideal candidate you have experience in working in agile environments, driving product roadmaps, collaborating with stakeholders and managing product development cycles.

Job responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product roadmap for Athena
  • Work closely with the stakeholders to prioritize features and functionality that align with business goals and customer needs
  • Lead the product development cycle from ideation to launch
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of new features and enhancements
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback and incorporate it into a product development process
  • Analyze product usage data, conduct user research and gather market insights to inform product decisions and improve product usability
  • Communicate product strategy, progress and plans to stakeholders across the organization, including senior management

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, business or related field
  • Proven experience in product management or related field, with a proven track record of delivering successful products in a faced-paced, agile environment
  • Strong understanding of data management and related technologies, with experience working on similar platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive product decisions
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively with a focus on delivering results and continuous improvement

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of the financial service industry and regulations is a plus
