Join our team to support the Equity Derivatives Group (EDG) Index Exotics Trading Desk in London. As part of the Trading Services team, you'll play a crucial role in managing daily procedures, controls, and providing operational support for desks trading structured products in both over-the-counter and securitized formats.

As a Trading Services Analyst within Trading Team, you will become an independent subject matter expert, performing daily trade lifecycling and event management. You will take ownership of trade capture, assist in resolving ad hoc queries, and ensure the accuracy of trading activities. This role involves collaborating with various business functions to solve complex problems and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Job responsibilities:

  • Performs daily trade lifecycling and event management as an independent SME.
  • Takes ownership of trade capture in risk management systems and performs key risk/PnL checks.
  • Assists in resolving ad hoc queries from key partners such as Product Control, Market Risk, Sales, Structuring, Quantitative Research, and Technology.
  • Completes start/end of day processes, including completeness and reconciliation checks to ensure accurate capture of new trading activity and general book management.
  • Collaborates with other business functions to gather information, form solutions to complex problems, and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensures all controls are diligently performed on a timely basis, with issues escalated appropriately.
  • Participates in strategic initiatives to evolve processes and business architecture, ensuring alignment with regulatory changes.
  • Builds an in-depth understanding of the Exotics space and operational framework to bring creative, innovative ideas for enhancing robustness and visibility across controls and procedures.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Understanding of basic derivative products (options, swaps, futures) and simple exotics payoffs (variance swaps, auto-callable options).
  • Knowledge of front-to-back operational procedures, including legal documentation, economic affirmation, confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting.
  • Clear communication skills for collaborative work and effective challenge.
  • Proactive ownership, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work methodically in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinking ability and passion for innovation and change management.
  • Strong technical skills, especially in Excel.
