Purpose of the job


Your role as Supply Chain Planning Executive is pivotal in working with stakeholders to ensure smooth planning of functioning of demand and supply nexus for UK, Ireland and Channel Islands for Reduced Risk Products (RRP).

Your day to day”

Your focus in this role will be to liaise with commercial stakeholders as well as finance in order to create an unconstrained demand forecast. You will work with an upstream supply chain and manufacturing counterparts within IBP framework to translate unconstrained forecasts into production and ensuring safety stock, excellent service levels at market are maintained and any risks are communicated in a timely fashion.

You'll develop strong, collaborative relationships, work closely with various teams around performance, prepare information for quarterly business meetings and lead operational weekly calls.

Responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Engage with the Commercial, Finance, Marketing and Business Planning teams within IBP framework to capture market events and trends that impact the sales forecast and to properly plan new product initiatives, acting as Supply Chain expert for the respective portfolio
  • Ensure successful inventory management throughout the supply chain and follow up on product availability at market level. Balance demand & supply by aligning commercial and supply chain plans for the medium term (3 to 24 months) horizon
  • Regularly review Market sales performance versus approved forecast and target, analyze forecasting KPIs. Facilitate preparation and approval of the gap closure plans
  • Work closely with finance teams to work out capital estimations, stock build ups and Month/Quarter end activities
  • Effective use of systems in preparation of sales forecasts, product phasing, financial targets, managing shipments and inventory forecasting
  • Ensure smooth function of inbounds logistics flows, coordinating with manufacturing, logistics and domestic warehouse to maintain frictionless inbounding of manufactured goods
  • Execute planning of New Product Initiatives and phase-out of products considering market requirements and approved commercial strategies
  • Managing risk of product waste (LOGD) and working with the business to manage live risks and reduce financial exposure as far as possible
  • Reporting on performance & KPI’s, supporting financial analysis and highlighting/quantifying key risks for management decision making

Who We’re Looking For

  • Degree or post-graduate diploma in Supply Chain/Finance/Business Management or related fields
  • Strong data analysis, reporting skills, attention to detail
  • Strong record in building relationships and trust cross-functionally
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Experience of working closely with a wide range of departments including but not limited to finance, marketing and other supply chain functions is beneficial
  • Experience in working with ERP software such as SAP, Oracle is beneficial
  • Up to 3 years’ experience in planning activities ideally in an FMCG environment and understanding of operational, commercial and financial targets
