Part of Sedgman’s commitment to gender equality is ensuring that all employees know they are supported when circumstances in their lives change. As a reminder of this support, Sedgman now sends its employees a Sedgman bib to welcome newborn additions to their families.
The baby bib, along with a signed card from our Managing Director and the employee’s team, is a demonstration of our support and care for our people, and their family.
Sedgman is committed to #TackleFlexism and provide flexible working options for men and women alike and provide leave entitlements to mothers and fathers.
We support work-life balance, not just for new parents, but for an array of personal circumstances too. Sedgman offers arrangements including job sharing, leave, working from home, phased retirement, and breastfeeding breaks and facilities.
It is our hope that by being open about flexible working options, everyone, regardless of gender or career stage, will feel safer and more supported in their work and home lives. We want our bib initiative to encourage our people and their families to have more conversations about the flexible options that are available to them.
In 2019 Sedgman, a part of CIMIC Group, will be working on even more initiatives to look after our people and their families to ease the stress of the work-life juggle.

About WORK180
WORK180 is an international jobs network that connects smart businesses with the very best female talent. We pre-screen every employer on our jobs board to see where they stand on pay equity, flexible working, paid parental leave, equal opportunities and a range of other criteria. We also take into account diversity initiatives focusing on age, ability, ethnicity and sexual orientation.
The information we uncover is made public on our website, so that everyone knows what to expect from each employer before applying for a job. We continually review and evolve our pre-screening criteria to ensure workplaces are fair and equal for everyone.
