Meet the team
I surrounded myself with other like-minded people and had a mentor who guided and helped me grow and learn the world of Electricity and Power. Landing a graduate role at Jemena, my career took off and I found my place, rotating throughout different areas of the business and landed in Communications within the Electrical sector. I have a passion on educating women in STEM fields, particularly Engineering and ‘debunking myths’ on what Engineering looks like. It’s a rewarding career where you can use your skills to analyse, solve and find practical solutions to many problems.
I’m a project engineer working for Zinfra Power Project team with a Bachelor of Engineering and over 15 years’ experience in power industry locally and internationally. I obtained my electrical engineering skills in China via substation design before I immigrated to Australia 6 years ago. Since then, I joined Zinfra and have been developing my local project management skills in power sector across region. I’ve recently delivered North East Link Early Works Project safely and successfully.
I am an engineering professional currently working as a project engineer with Zinfra in Canberra. I moved to Australia from Nepal in 2006 after my graduation and have since been managing pipeline projects for water, sewer and gas from project initiation to handover. My expertise are in project, stakeholder and design management along with day to day management of numerous contractors. Outside work, I am a busy mum to two little boys and my favourite things to do are baking, cooking and gardening.
Completed a Chemical Engineering and Science (Chemistry) degree. Started out as a graduate metallurgist for Newcrest Mining in Orange for two years before moving back to Sydney. Since then I have worked for Jemena for almost five years and have held numerous roles that ensures I am forever learning and expanding my skillset as an Engineer. Responsible for the management and strategies of meters in my current role, I thrive because of the interaction with many different teams across the business and the responsibility we have for ensuring the safety and reliability of energy to homes.
