Meet the team

Vicki leads of the Talent Acquisition function for Thales Australia. She focuses her the majority of her time on Thales hiring the right talent, in the right place at the right time. Vicki also co-council’s the Respect@Thales Council and is on the board of Women in Aviation and Aerospace, she is a very passionate and enthusiastic leader encouraging change and raising awareness across all streams of I&D. In her spare time, she loves listening and dancing to old school RnB and hanging out with her two marvellous children Sam and Zoe.

Director, Talent Acquisition

Abby loves to understand what makes people tick and how this can lead to greater business performance. An organisational psychologist, a Mum of two and a terrible cook, Abby has spent the last ten plus years helping organisations perform better by leveraging their greatest asset – their people. After ten years in Professional Services, the Banking and Insurance industry and two maternity periods, Abby decided she needed a change in pace and landed in the defence industry working for Thales Group. Her role as HR Director, Organisational Capability provides full scope of the Leadership, Learning, Capability, Talent, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Engagement portfolios.

Lydia’s role as a Human Factors Engineer sees her skills utilised across Thales Australia, from user centred design in Railways to Air Traffic Control. Human Factors is a naturally inclusive discipline – we design products, systems and environments to accommodate people, Lydia applies this inclusive design approach to our customer projects and also internally within our organisation.

Lydia relocated to Thales Australia from Thales UK in 2019, primarily for the better weather and beach lifestyle(!), daily sunrise walks along the beach (with a cup of tea in hand) are a must.

Human Factors Engineer

Allison is a Senior Project Manager in the Under Water Systems group at Thales. Allison joined Thales in 2020 after working at CSIRO in the Industrial Innovation Group. She has a background in controls and electronics engineering – spending 15 years designing and implementing systems for mining, recycling and food applications. At Thales, Allison loves leading teams, made up of a diverse group of talented and skilled people, working collaboratively on complex projects. Outside of work, Allison enjoys spending time with her son and husband, bushwalking, kayaking and enjoying the great outdoors.

Senior Project Manager

Emily’s role is the Talent Acquisition Co-ordinator and her main responsibilities are ensuring the smooth pre requisition and onboarding process both internally and externally. With a background in recruitment, business development and account management. Outside of work Emily likes to immerse herself in nature and spend time in hundred degree saunas.
