“I learned about the program through a friend who worked at one of Softcat’s top vendors. They spoke highly of the company, emphasizing its unmatched culture, particularly for women in business, and the excellent career development opportunities.
I was then introduced to an account manager at Softcat who provided valuable insights into the role and its earning potential with the commission structure. During the induction, we learned about the values and events of the SDP and Softcat throughout the year. The program was well-organized and provided us with the training needed to succeed in our roles. Further training is provided for the entire time you’re in the program. I’ve picked up more technical skills and am figuring out what I’m good at and what I enjoy doing.
Now that things are busier, I’m better at managing my time and choosing the work I want to take on, which makes me more confident overall. I also get involved in initiatives in the office, which has proven to be great for networking with people I normally wouldn’t interact with.”
